Office Policies

Office Hours:

For your convenience, we are open to serve you, answer questions or schedule an appointment during the following hours:

Monday - Friday: 7:30a.m. – 4 p.m.

Initial Exam:

Dr. Pappel performs an complimentary initial examination to determine if an orthodontic problem is present. If he finds that orthodontic treatment is necessary, he will discuss the scope of the problem and possible treatment options. In some cases, for younger patients, Dr. Pappel will monitor jaw growth and tooth eruption, and begin treatment when it is ideal. We place these patients on our recall program, and will schedule them for periodic checkups. This initial exam is free of charge.

Diagnostic Records:

If treatment is needed immediately, we will take diagnostic records. These records provide accurate information regarding your case, and are necessary for developing the appropriate treatment plan.
Diagnostic records include:
  • X-rays
  • Photos
  • Diagnostic tracing
  • Impressions for study models
After Dr. Pappel analyzes your records, he can determine the severity of your condition, the length of treatment, as well as the total cost and anticipated results.

Consultation Visits:

After Dr. Pappel analyzes the diagnostic records, we will schedule a consultation visit. During this appointment, he will discuss appropriate treatment options, the duration of treatment and the fee.  If a child is receiving treatment, we encourage both parents to attend this visit. We encourage you to ask Dr. Pappel any questions you may have.

Appointments:

Your regular visits are routinely scheduled 8-10 weeks apart.  If for any reason you need to reschedue your appointment, please give as much notice as possible to avoid delay in your treatment.  We will also place you on a cancellation notice and will schedule you in as soon as possible.
