Dr. John E. Pappel has specialized in orthodontics and has served the Central Vancouver Island areas for over 25 years. To complement the years of experience he has in the field of orthodontics, Dr. Pappel utilizes the most advanced techniques currently available. Thus, he is capable of providing patients the best care possible.
Dr. Pappel received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from McGill University in 1982 and his Master of Science and Specialty Certificate in Orthodontics from the University of Minnesota in 1984.
He is an active member of the Canadian Association of Orthodontists, the American Association of Orthodontists, a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists(Canada) in the specialty of Orthodontics, the World Federation of Orthodontists, the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, the Canadian Dental Association, the British Columbia College of Dental Surgeons and the Vancouver Island Orthodontic Study Club.
Dr. Pappel regularly lectures for regional and local study clubs. He is married and has two sons. In his spare time, he enjoys golfing, skiing and Kayaking.
